Anne to the Rescue

Seemingly out of the aether a voice rang out. "Geoffrey! Akoni! Let the girl go!" The timbre of the voice marked it as coming for a female. A very angry female.

The visage on the faces on her would be lovers turned to curdled milk. "Anne, we were just going to show the girl a good time," The ebon hunk Akoni replied though the pained expression on his face said he knew Anne wouldn't believe him.

"I know what you two were trying to do. I'm going to chock this one up to you both having too much to drink. Let the girl go and scurry back to your rooms to sleep it off. Or do I need to have a talk with David Cody?"

With that, the two men released Mary and scurried out of the patio area.

With Akoni and Geoffery gone the anger that had permeated Anne's delivery dissipated. The next words she intoned more of a feeling of concern and, maybe, infatuation. "Mary, I was hoping you would come. I tried to watch for you, but I got a bit uh preoccupied. For that, I apologize." Then she took Mary by the hand and pulled her over to a table where several lovely young girls were sitting. "Have a seat and a drink if you like. I'll be right back, and then you can tell me about your first day at Tomorrow Con."

Mary took a deep breath. "Thanks, so who is David Cody?"

"Oh, those two must have pissed off Anne something fierce," said a beautiful black girl sitting across from Mary. "Anne doesn't invoke David lightly. Those two must have gotten her fired up."

Mary looked at the group in bewilderment still not fully comprehending.

The lithe Asian girl leaned over and rested her hand on Mary's leg. "He's the head of Tomorrow Con and a close personal friend of Anne's. One word from him and you're permanently banned."

Then the hot Latina chimed in. "What did those two putas try to do to you?"

Mary looked at the drink that had been placed in front of her picked it up and took a long swig. The quite potent cocktail burned her throat a bit causing Mary to wince. "I'm not quite sure. The one was giving me a message while the other was talking about an innocent act."

"Oh my God!" The Asian girl said as she gave Mary's thigh a squeeze before moving her hand. "I swear every fucking fit guy here thinks they can just come up and claim any shy looking girl. No wonder Anne ran them off. Fucking misogynistic douchebags like that bring out the mother in her."

At that moment Anne reappeared. "Mary you did know this was a pool party? You seem a bit overdressed."

Mary self-consciously looked at her jeans and t-shirt. "Yeah, I kinda headed here last minute. I didn't have time to change."

"That's fine. Why don't you come with me and the girls to my room? I'm positive one of them has a suit that would fit you," Anne replied while giving each girl at the table a look.

As if taking the cue the tall black girl spoke up. "You're right Anne. I bet Sofia's red bikini would fit Mary perfectly."

"It's settled then. Mary follow us, and we'll show you what Tomorrow Con is all about," Anne said as she turned and walked toward the exit.
