Anjali's pregnant!

Virginia pushed Keith down the stairs, wiping away the last tears of laughter from the pillow fight they had getting dressed for the hot tub. At the downstairs landing, she saw Anjali and Sanjay, the snowbound motorists they had rescued.

Sanjay was wearing loose trunks of a bright Madras plaid, while Anjali had on an aqua blue two-piece and a towel around her shoulders. Virginia could see why she had been walking so oddly before. Anjali's bulky snow suit had hidden a sizeable pregnant belly.

"Oh, Anjali, I didn't know!" Virginia said. No wonder, Ginny thought, Anjali had looked so uncomfortable when Keith and Ginny rescued them. Anjali must have really had to pee. Anjali's smooth golden brown belly had no sign of stretch marks. "How beautiful!" Virginia gushed in honest admiration.

Anjali laughed. "Thank you, Virginia," she said. Her husband looked a little sheepish.

"Well, congratulations to both of you," Keith said. "I hope everything is working out like you want to." He cracked a big grin. "I certainly do hope you make it to Cave Springs. It'll be a little different next year!"

Anjali and Sanjay laughed.

"You know, if the snow's heavy tonight, they'll close the pass for real and we could go too," Keith said. "Ginny and I know Cave Springs pretty well. In case you'd like someone to show you the ropes since it's your first time."

"This would make my second time," said Anjali. "Last winter I was there but not with Sanjay. Perhaps while we are in the tub you can tell us about your times there. I am sure my husband is tired of hearing about what I was doing with Ashok at Cave Springs while he was working double shifts."

"No, no, no," Sanjay protested. "I would love to hear it again."

"Let me check the tub," Virginia said. "We don't want it too hot, for Anjali's sake."

"You said you wanted to let Ashok know you were okay?" Keith said. "Did you want to try calling him at Cave Springs?"
