Andre gets out...

Andre gets out of the car to talk to the young men. At first things seem tense, but Andre speaks to the young men in jovial tones, smiles a lot, then pulls out a pack of American cigarettes and starts to pass them out to the young men. That seems to break the ice a little and the young men seem to relax. As he speaks he keeps smiling at the car. The young men are smiling and laughing as they look at the car.

Duncan finally notices that the car has stopped and looks up, “What’s going on?”

Looking back at her father, Heather smiles. “Andre’s talking to the nice young men, maybe they’re Christians!”

Duncan has visited the country enough to know better. He looks doubtful and begins to worry. However, being Christian he decides that he must give them the benefit of the doubt... that is until suddenly one of the young men punches Andre in the face.

Andre is set upon by the group. There is a lot of yelling, kicking and blows from the buttstock of their rifles. Andre gets back up, talking quickly. He backs up to the car and quickly gets in. The young men surround the car making escape impossible.

Grabbing some first aid supplies Heather and the nurse try and attend to Andre’s wounds. However he quickly bats their hands away and says, “They want the girls.” A look of shock and terror fill the young women’s faces.
