An interesting plant

Mai saw a station with what seemed an innocuous plant in a clear cylinder. She began making observing the plant notes on it when the chief Science Officer walked in. He seemed a littler bleary eyed and began apologizing to everyone for his lateness. It seemed that Mai wasn't the only one who had partied a little hard the night before!

The Chief Science Officer saw her making notes on the plant and instructed her to take it to the arboretum and plant it at the designated place, since the plant had been previously found benign.

Mai made her way to the the arboretum, feeling like nothing more than a glorified gardener. As she entered the arboretum, she found it empty. She found the place where the plant was to be placed. In short order, the plant was securely in its place of honor. Mai tapped her comm badge to see what her orders are now.
