Chapter V: From Apprentice to Conqueror

“I have discussed in depth the way in which circumstances in his time in history made Zauthar’s rise possible, but to assume he was merely a lucky man taking advantage of the tides of fate is to trivialise the great achievements of a remarkable individual.

“Nothing is known of Zauthar’s life prior to his apprenticeship. At the age of twelve, he became one of a dozen apprentices who learned from Vanthea the Pure, widely regarded as the most capable human mage of the time. Vanthea was known to have a deep hatred – some would say fear – of sex. A devout follower of the Lady of Light, she proudly declared her chastity, asserting that her unbroken virginity made her a more potent mage. She also railed against ‘harlots’ – a condemnation she extended to most of her fellow sorceresses, the majority of noblewomen, and any worshipers of gods who did not condemn sex outside of wedlock.

“She would seem an unlikely master for Zauthar, and indeed he did not prosper under her tuition. She is said to have considered him poorly suited for magery, when in fact he possessed a great talent, albeit one that ran to very different sorceries than her light magic. By the time he reached 22 she had effectively ceased to teach him. This suited Zauthar, for he had turned to darker tutors for his teachings, consulting with the dead, demons and stranger beings.

“It was at this age he decided he’d learned all he needed to from her – and, indeed, realised he has surpassed her in power. Many would simply have left, but Zauthar had grander ambitions. He made his move at a time when all Vanthea’s apprentices were away on various errands. There is no record of the confrontation, although it must have been an epic display of magic.

“Rather, we must turn our attention to the account of Yamain, the first of Vanthea’s apprentices to return to her white tower. He was shocked to find a warband of mercenary orcs camping at the tower. When he entered the great hall, he found women from the nearby village, waiting on the orcs while wearing torn dresses that exposed all their feminine charms. They seemed willing and indeed eager, and showed no shame or hesitation when the orcs rutted with them in full view of each other.

“But what shocked Yamain most was the scene he saw on the raised dais which held Vanthea’s throne. Zauthar now sat on the throne. Vanthea squatted beside him, naked except for a collar, her leash held in Zauthar’s hand. Streaks of cum dried in her blond hair, and she worked a sex toy in and out of her pussy. She seemed to enjoy her humiliation, and the lustful gazes of the orcs. As Yamain watched, she leaned up and whispered beseechingly to Zauthar. The mage nodded indulgently, and passed her lead to an orc, who preceded to take his pleasure from the fallen archmage.

“Zauthar greeted Yamain. He declared that the orcs were the first soldiers in what would soon be a huge army. He offered Yamain the chance to serve him. After some consideration, Yamain agreed, and sealed the bargain by **** his ex-mentor’s pussy and arse, an indignity that would have horrified her mere days ago but which she now eagerly accepted.

“One by one, the other apprentices returned. The male apprentices were offered the same choice as Yamain. Most accepted, pledging allegiance to Zauthar. This was well received by the male apprentices, for Vanthea had asserted that females were morally superior to males, and her female apprentices had lorded her favour over their male colleagues. “Two of the most promising female apprentices, however, Zauthar did not give to his men. Nor did he break their minds, except to bind their loyalty to him. Instead, he began to teach them all the demonology, necromancy and sex magics that Vanthea had condemned as evil. They learned eagerly, becoming the first members of his infamous harem of concubine-apprentices. Their names would go down in history as two of his most valued followers: Timirae the Defiler and Kesina, Sister to Succubae.

“He now had an enviable powerbase, but Zauthar’s ambition was undiminished. He had set his eyes on the throne of the land – and the comely body of the queen whose shapely rump occupied it…”
