An abandoned studio loft

Nigel and Anne spent the day and most of the night transporting items to their makeshift studio. The loft had some old furniture in it that Nigel thought made it look like the sort of grungy spot that certain photoshoots take place in. There was a tattered couch and a rusted clawfoot bathtub with a beautiful view of London. The wallpaper was peeling in a particularly photogenic way, Nigel thought. He was proud of his location. Once they were finished setting up the camera and the lighting equipment, Nigel sat down next to Anne on the tattered couch. “Do you think its believable?” He asked Anne. “Yes, I think its quite good.” “I want to thank you for your help with this Anne. I’m not sure I’d know what a proper photoshoot location was supposed to look like without your help.” He smiled and Anne blushed. Dutiful Anne, he thought. “Oh, it’s nothing. Anything to help you Nigel.” Anne felt loyalty to Nigel because he had given her the job. Indeed, he plucked her straight from the grocery store he shopped at.

She was a cashier and always made pleasant conversation, but one day she was shaken and nearly crying. “Whats wrong, Anne?” he had asked her. “My husband was sacked from the plant and we have so little money. We don’t know what we’re going to do.” Nigel made everything alright by giving his friend a job as his assistant at MI6, a much higher paying position with benefits. Anne was forever grateful to him. And in return, Nigel knew he could trust Anne with anything. And trust is an invaluable asset in the intelligence service.

“Listen, Anne. I do need something from you.” Nigel became more serious. “This task we have embarked on is of tremendous importance. And as such, there are some measures that need to be taken that might seem ****. But believe me, they are necessary.” Anne nodded. “Anne, you will be with me tomorrow during the photoshoot, posing as my assistant. Now, should it be necessary to do anything to this target, you will understand right?” Anne paused, and then said, “Nigel, whatever you need me to do, I will do. I don’t care if you have to kill the woman, say the word and I will help you do it.” Nigel smiled at her commitment. “There’s my Anne. But it shouldn’t come to that. Now please go home and get some sleep.”
