An Island Vacation

This abandoned castle was your first choice for a home after you were **** to vacate your previous residence, but you did note a few other options on your flight over, and from your position high in the air, you now do a wingover and reorient yourself back towards your runner-up.

You'd nearly made your nest on a small coastal island, only deterred by the complete lack of any amenities. The island had been beautiful, the climate welcoming, and the people of the nearby islands... well, they didn't scream and run away when they spotted you overhead, and they were far enough away to not bother you.

Your flight across the patchwork of kingdoms below you to the coast, and then out to the island, takes the better part of the day, and you spend a few moments circling overhead, looking down. The island is surrounded by turquoise water, and roughly circular, rising in height from east to west until the west side ends in sharp cliffs. The upper regions are dotted with fruit trees, while the eastern end slopes down to a wide, almost crescent-shaped beach.

As you angle yourself down and crash through the salt spray and the waves onto the beach (not the safest landing, you know, but hey, you need to relax somehow after such a long flight), the first thing you notice is the scaffolding that's been built outside the seaside cave that you were planning to make your new home in...
