You’re just glad that is all over with

After dumping Hugo off the journey to the hangar is completely uneventful. Once the ship landed Jane and you sit down for a chat.

"We have two major problems: our ship has taken heavy damage and your face is plastered on every newscast on this planet," you tell her curtly. "We can't take the ship to any repair yard as they would report the obvious gunfire damage to the planetary authorities. This of course is separate from the fact that if what Hugo said was right we can't get you off the planet that easily either."

Jane nods in agreement.

"Those are two big problems all right. Hugo was correct. I just ran a search on the planetary net and confirmed that I'm on the wanted list. Even if they don't have my retina scans or personal data, I reckon that a facial recognition system would pick me up in no time. If I get caught they'll have my visa details and will know you associate with me as well. Let’s face it," Jane laments with a heavy sigh, "I’m pretty screwed here at the moment. I never thought I would get trapped somewhere... Always figured it would be a missile that ended me while I was seated inside a cockpit."

Placing your hand on Jane’s knee, you say, "Data can be changed and smuggling is always an option. There are also other avenues out there like the black market. We just have to find and connect with them."

Jane lets out a deep breath and leans back in her chair.

"I know," she starts, "but you are no hacker and I need to accept I'm going to be stuck in this area. We have little money on planet and they will be looking for us... No, looking for me. How long do you think we actually have until the ship is found?"

"The good thing for us is that the corporations don't invest heavily into their investigation departments, just paramilitary security forces and some limited corporate investigations team," you say in an attempt to reassure Jane. "Everything else is privately owned and the corporation won't trust anyone else with a matter like this. Besides, once the data is off the planet there will be nothing to gain for the corporation by coming after us is except for personal ****. Fortunately for us, **** doesn't help their bottom line. Regardless, I think it’s about time I go call Sid and explain the situation to him. I’m sure he’ll know a way out of this."
