Aliens are public knowledge

1951, in Roswell. North America had an encounter of the third kind with an alien race who had been visiting them for all of human history. The military recovered the crash site and the event was classified.

Kennedy however allegedly was targeted because he was willing to make the knowledge public that aliens exist. This reality however differs than ours, Because Mr. Kennedy survived the **** attempt. Although paralyzed the stoic president still announced to the world that aliens did exist. And from that moment of light did our world descend into darkness.

The xenophidian's as we call them, come to our planet every now and then to watch over us. Much like a Shepard would with flocks of little colonies of growing life scattered acrossed the universe. However despite their "sheparding ways" they make it clear that they are not herding sheep. And that is not a compliment sadly, because to the Xenophidian, biological material is the most valuable resource in the universe. So they are more like farmers really, visiting us every now and then. And harvesting some crop, trimming it up over there. At least before the former president opened his mouth we had lived in blissful ignorance of our species harvest.
