Aliens?!?

The monitor showed alien ships decending from the sky over the city. Both Ultramom and Ultraboy stared as the sliver ships decended out of the clouds and slowed over the city. Some of the ships fired energy blasts at buildings blowing them up or setting them on fire. Others landed at intersections and aliens stepped out. The aliens appeared to be lizardlike but capable of walking on two legs. Some of the aliens appeared more muscular and wore armor, they also carried weapons. These aliens used their weapons or simply slashed at things with their claws. Other aliens were less muscular, but taller and did not appear as hunched over. They wore robes and appeared to have suction cups on some of their fingers.

Ultramom called up a map of the city on the computer screen and had it show the locations of the alien ships. "We need to go here and here." Ultramom said gesturing to the screen and talking to her son. These are the two areas with the most people this time of day, we need to get the people out and stop the alients."

"Right mom." Ultraboy said, forgetting about the earlier incident and focusing on the task at hand. "I'll take the school, you can take downtown."

Ultramom and Ultraboy then left the house, both of them accelerating into the air. Once airborne, the superhero mom and son split up. Ultramom headed towards the downtown where people were getting off work, and Ultraboy headed towards the high school where activities and practices were going on. As both headed their separate ways, they could see smoke at both locations from the destruction caused by the aliens.

Moments later Ultraboy arrived at the high school and saw the carnage firsthand. Students, teachers and others were running in all directions from the school yelling and screaming. Several buses and vehicles appeared to be on fire and he saw several of the lizard warriors outside. Some were ripping up and shooting vehicles, others were aiming at those fleeing. He also saw the doors to the school blasted open.

Ultraboy accelerated and dove at one of the lizard warriors who was firing their weapon at innocents. He put his fist in front of him as he dove and slammed it into the lizard, knocking the creature back and denting its armor. He then turned and hit another one standing nearby with his fist, knocking it to its feet. He turned and hit a third with a swift kick.

He was surprised though that all three lizards were getting up. He had not battled anything that could recover from his blows that quickly. He realized this would be tougher than originally thought. Ultraboy kicked one of the lizard's getting up in the head, knocking it down again he then spun to face another but it was already up. Before Ultraboy could react the lizard warrior raised both of its arms in the air and slammed them down on Ultraboy's shoulders, knocking the hero down to his knees. Ultraboy's head spun as he fell to his knees and he hoped his mom was having better luck.

Arriving downtown Ultramom landed between a group of lizard soldiers and fleeing people. As the heroine did she picked up an abandoned car and held it like a shield towards the lizard warriors. As they fired she used the car to block their shots and shield the people. After a few blasts though the car was in flames and Ultramom put it down. Frustrated the heroine looked around for something else to use against the lizards.
