Alexa runs into mean girls she knows

Alexa wandered the mall, not sure if she really wanted to get anything. As she rounded the corner, she saw a group of girls talking to each other, leaning against the wall. “Hey,” one of the girls said, “if it isn’t Alexa Johnson.”

Alexa looked at the girls, a little startled they knew her name. “M-Mia?” Alexa said. “Janet, Chloe? What are you doing here?”

Alexa stared at the girls who used to be the meanest girls in her high school. They particularly didn’t like Alexa very much. “Just hanging out, talking,” Mia said. “What are you up to?”

“Just here with my mom,” Alexa said. “She let me wander off and go on my own.”

“Aw, you still shop with your mommy,” Chloe sneered. “How cute. Did she buy you new undies? Are they Disney princesses? Oh maybe sesame street.”

“What kind of underwear do you wear?” Janet asked, looking Alexa up and down.

“I...” Alexa said, thinking of what to say. “Come on guys. I need to get going. It was nice seeing you guys. I’ll just go now.”
