Alex, The Accountant

Alex’s desk was hidden away in one of the offices back corner. He must’ve liked it that way, as she rarely saw him around the office. In fact, they had never spoken. However, he was one of the older member of their office. And so, it was with some trepidation that Serena found herself in the hard wooden stool across from him.

“Its Tax season” the beefy man stated, patting a stack of papers. His suit was defined by the thick muscles beneath “I hope we can make this quick”

“It’s about Cassandra” She muttered “She’s been a little on edge lately--”

“I noticed” He swept back his short blond hair and rolled his eyes “Isn’t keeping her happy, like, your job?”

“I want to do something nice for her, but I don’t know what she likes yet”

“Uh!” He scowled.

He grabbed the small pride flag of his desk and set the staff against his chin to think.The rainbow sheet set a stark difference against his darkly marbled wooden desk “She’s secretive, but I’ve seen her at a few of our pride rallies, occasionally a bar. She’s never said hi though” He shrugged “I respect that though, it’s always good to keep life and work separate.”
