Ah!

You raise your head and open your mouth. "Ah!"

Scooping some of the beef stew onto a spoon, Graham raises it to your mouth, guiding it in. You close your lips around it and wait for your master to pull it out. It's hot, but you're hungry and this is the best meal you've had since leaving your reclusive forest village. So you greedily chew it and swallow it.

"Yum!" you chirp.

Graham shows no visible reaction to your antics, much to your frustration. Maybe if he had that helmet off, you could see him blush... Ah well. Hopefully once you leave town. You open your mouth again for more and Graham continues to feed you, despite the dirty looks he's getting from some of the scarred and dirty patrons of the Food Tent. Luckily, theses villains and scum know better than Sleezenose to attempt to rouse the ire of an adventurer. As a criminal, one doesn't exactly make it to a Bandit Town without knowing how to pick one's battles. Or so you heard from one of Sleezenose's marks.

When the stew and milk are gone and your tummy is full, you smile up at Graham. "Thanks for the meal, Master!"

Graham just grunts in response, causing you to giggle. He moves to stand and you hop off his lap, watching as he goes to the counter to pay for his food. You decide to wait for him outside.

Despite your visual resemblance to a foxfolk, kitsune are far more magically oriented. In fact, you lack the typical enhanced sense of smell of a foxfolk. Despite this, even you can't deny that bandit towns reek. The Food Tent's cooking helped hide the stench, but as you step outside, it becomes more noticeable. You pinch your nose and wave your hand in front of your face. Do cities and villages stink this bad, or is it just bandit towns?

"You shouldn't stray too far from me, Kohaku." You jump at Graham's voice from behind you. He places a hand on your head as he gazes at the town.

"I do not fault anyone who lives or works here. Many of them are not truly wicked people," he muses. "Circumstance, misfortune, exile... Many of them are simply victims of the mismanagement from those who are meant to rule them honorably. Remember that, Kohaku."

You smile up at Graham. Reaching over, you grab his hand, his huge gauntlet dwarfing your feminine little fingers. He turns his head away and you hope he's blushing under his helmet.

"Is there anywhere you would like to go before we retire to the inn?" he asks.
