As you sat sadly looking down at your sac filled with the new prosthetics, Katie comes in.

“I heard what happened”

“I’m so sorry Jacob, but it’s not all that bad…”

You look at her in disbelief. How could she know the pain of this loss?

“You know how I said I was on the pill? I lied. I’m pregnant. You’re going to be a father!” she said, her eyes lighting up with joy.

“Really? And you’re still willing to be with me even though I don’t have…well...” you find it hard to even say the words.

“Yes Jacob. I love you. You’re the most wonderful man I know and you’re the one I want to spend my life with!” she replied.

So, soon afterwards you were engaged. The doctors were right about the therapy. Your sex life wasn’t dead at all, despite losing your testicles. While the shots were bothersome, the life you see ahead with Katie is worth it.
