Chapter 4 by oldtoad78 oldtoad78

First steps or jumping ahead some months?

After your convalescence. Finally getting back to work.

It had been a couple of months now since you had made the bewildering discovery that you could suggest or, more precisely, order whatever you wanted to people wearing any kind of rings.

It all started when you tried to wear the strange gold ring you had found in your personal belongings when you were released from the hospital. To be honest, you didn't even notice it right away, otherwise you would have returned it at once. At the moment you're quite happy you kept it for yourself!

It is amazing how strange it can be to go back to old routines, repeated every day for years, after being **** to suddenly interrupt them for a prolonged period.

Although a few months had passed since the last time you went to work, you repeat every single gesture of your morning ritual almost automatically. Of course, compared to before your accident, there was the no-small difference that Rosa was gone. To be honest, it was better to have lost her now, at the first real difficulty, than to find out what kind of person she really was in the future, maybe once you were married to her and with kids.

Just to be sure, you leave your home relatively early not wanting to be late on your first day at work. On the sidewalk, outside your house, you can see your new neighbors’ young daughter walking about ten meters in front of you, probably headed for the train station just like you. Since you are heading the same way, you get to observe her quite well. From the little you can recall from when the Davies moved in, you are pretty sure that her name is Sarah. High school senior and recently turned eighteen, she is pretty cute with beautiful short red hair in a pixie cut. Slim and petite, she's pretty short and has relatively small breasts, B cup at most.

As you walk behind her, you can't help but notice that the girl has been texting all the time, totally focused on her cell phone without once looking ahead.

Lost in your thoughts, you realize that you are insistently staring at her cute butt. The tight jeans she is wearing hug her curves enticingly but, not wanting to get caught leering and then pointed out as an old pervert, you pay particular attention in not letting your gaze slip down again (even if you still consider yourself young, you’re inarguably several years older than her… Better not discuss about the *pervert* part for now). Wanting to ward off the temptation, which will be nearly impossible if you continue to walk with her enticing little ass swaying in front of you, you decide that you'd better speed up and walk ahead of her. Speeding up your pace, you gesture a silent hello as you pass ahead of the redhead without her gesturing back or acknowledging you in any way, even if you are pretty sure she has noticed you.

Pretty rude! You think. Your parents had taught you to answer when someone says hello…

At this hour, the platform is a little crowded with different commuters waiting for the train to arrive. While you wait with the others, you notice that the Davies’ daughter is standing not really far behind you chattering on her cell phone. Even if you try to avoid eavesdropping, you’re quite bothered by how loud she is and it’s with some relief that you see the train finally arrive at the station. As soon as the doors open, the Davies' girl, still on the phone, elbows her way past you to occupy one of the last free seats before the other passengers. Quite annoyed by her attitude, you end up standing in the aisle in front of her. That's when you notice the big silver ring on her left thumb. Why not? You think, maybe you could, after all….

What are you thinking?
