“Richard!” Admiral Thorndike exclaimed as if he had not seen the Commander in ages, although they had shared cigars in the Admiral’s office just the day before.

“Admiral,” Commander Smith nodded.

“I’m hosting a Cocktail Party at Galileo Hall tonight. A few members from the United Planets Council will be there. I would like for you to attend.” Then the Admiral added, “Full Dress, of course.”
