Actually, Nothing Happens At All

After casting the spell, Rachel couldn't feel anything happening, which worried her. She looked for a fairly harmless spell in the book to test out a theory, but found that that spell didn't work either. Just to be sure, she tried a third spell, but got the same result. The spell book was useless!

It probably had something to do with the combination spell Rachel had cast to cause all of these reality changes. She had unknowingly drained the book of its magic. Now it was nothing more than a fancy door-stop. Unless there was some way to re-energize it with magical power. For the moment, it seemed that Rachel would have to cope with not knowing what was going on. Man, this was a big waste of time! She could have been out there searching for Katherine, or that Brad guy.
