A study group as hopeless as she is

"...by joining a study group." He looked at his watch. "I know it'll be meeting again in thirty minutes, in fact. One with students who...." He smirked at her. "...struggle with the material as much as you do." The TA was still gaping as the professor scribbled something down on a note and nodded at her. "There's three of them who meet in this room here."

"Thanks!" said Tia, her heels clicking as she walked away towards the study group. The TA frowned at him.

"What good is that group going to do her if they know as little as she does? They're all remedial students from 'questionable' backgrounds who probably have no chance of passing-"

"I figure one way or another they'll enjoy her presence." He smiled.

Tia made her way into the room, bounding into an open seat without looking at any of them, her skirt riding up her legs as she did.

"Hi! Sorry for interrupting, but I'm **** to catch up and I'll do anything if you guys can...help me...."
