Chapter 4 by WhiteFeathers WhiteFeathers

How to make her understand?

A simple but funny Rule.

"Alright, first off let me first state what I will be writing down. On the rule page for this cafe I'll write a rule that doesn't change the past and doesn't change things in a way that isn't impossible for humans." stated Harold, watching Amagi nod slowly showing her understanding, "I'll make that it's a new rule that waiters here have to say their name at their end of their sentence."

This caused Amagi look at her commander like one would look at someone who declared he'd make everyone say that the sky is purple. She then watched him write down the rule in the rule book.

"New Rule: Waiters have to end their sentences when working with their first name, failure would count as a misdemeanor and require payment of a small fine."

"Isn't that a bit harsh for being a rule?" questioned the ship girl beside the writer who looked at her with a raised brow, "What?"

"Rules written here are true, but if they don't include what happens when someone breaks said rules. I'm going to presume the worst thing possible will happen to the people who break said rule. Pretty sure this is why actual rules have have subsections for amendments and exceptions." expounded Harold before thinking a moment before looking over to Amagi with a raised brow, "Or if you mean that the rule itself is a bit harsh, I don't think giving a first name is that bad."

The second part made the fox girl blush, "Apologizes, I meant the fact they would need to..." She looked up at the waiters as they got called to the back, "Tha- This is impossible, but what they're speaking about this same rule I watched you write in..."

Watching her face become distant showed that she was thinking deeply about something, which Harold remembered from this timeline. Still he hoped she didn't try and persuade him into doing something like altering her history, then his favorite ship might not have ever appeared... but it would also see if the grandfather paradox would go in effect or not if he changed the past through someone else's influence.

"Don't mind me, erasing useless rules." muttered out Harold as Amagi kept thinking in her own way, probably making plans on how to take on this whole situation, Harold on the other hand erased the "Prehensile Tails for Pure Humans" Rule and the New Rule he wrote out for Amagi, while after a moment making his New Rule with the ability to change animals into humanoids into a Old Rule.

After a quick check to see that the changes where undone and switching memories, he rechecked his previously made rules and looked outside and saw some animals turned part human walking alongside other humans and pets, which was odd but Harold guessed that not everyone would want their dog to suddenly have to go through registration since they turned into a thinking species. Still unlike before where those with tails were there so they could easily know who was pure human and who wasn't, now it was more common to have some degree of animal ancestry.

'Huh... Grandma Hera was actually a tiger that Grandpa tamed.' Thought Harold as his current self kept on harping on this fact since he took pride being partially a tiger, 'Not withstanding the large amount of other animals that I'm also part.'

Amagi didn't seem to be finished with her thinking, so Harold took a bit of his drink and wonder what he should do.

Does Amagi finish her planning or Does Harold write a new rule?
