Chapter 54 by brevdravis brevdravis

What's she have in mind?

A Revealing Kiss

"Tell me what?" I asked, gesturing to the table I had laid out in an invitation.

"Hmmm... Tell him or not?" Helen walked past Kaila as she spoke, and Kaila whipped her arm around Helen's waist. "Naah, I'll show him."

Kaila pulled Helen into a tight hug, pressing her lips to Helen's mouth. Helen responded, sliding her hands around Kaila's waist, and opening her mouth after a momen's hesitation. My heart leapt in my chest as the two women kissed, moving against each other in a lover's embrace.

They broke apart after another moment, and the two blondes walked to the table. As she passed me, Kaila gave me a soft wink, before she took her place. Helen, for her part, looked at me with a nervous smile, but said nothing, picking up her fork.

"You two shouldn't torcha the boy." Charlotte admonished, breaking the silence, "I think he's dahd."

I shook my head, realizing that I'd been staring. I tried a deep breath, but it didn't work to calm my nerves. Especially when Charlotte walked around the table, greeting both of the other women with soft kisses.

"Well, uhm, that was... unexpected." I said, joining the breakfast in progress. "I guess you girls had a fun morning."

"And a nice breakfast I don't have to cook afterwords." Kaila purred, before nibbling on one of the fried potatoes.

"Yeah, uh. Thanks Brent. I haven't had a good fry up in ages." Helen remarked, looking at me again, her smile no longer quite as hesitant.

For a moment, I felt a pang of jealousy. It was stupid really; just an unvoiced fear that I was going to lose my wife, but it was there. The fear vanished as I looked into my wife's blue eyes, and saw the love that shone there. If anything it seemed to be magnified, and brought into sharp relief.

"Well, I just felt like cooking something nice." I smiled back, and was amazed at the answering expressions. I had given them all time. The time that they had wanted to spend together. It hurt a little, them all being together, and not being a part of it, but in the way that an old scab hurts before it's torn away to reveal newer skin beneath.

"So, y'all have any plans foah tha day?" Charlotte asked, changing the subject again. Perhaps I was imagining it, but I could swear that she had just winked at me.

"I wanted to go swimming." I announced, taking a sip of coffee. "There's a swimming hole a little ways away, and I wanted to check it out.

"Sounds like fun." Helen agreed.

"Is that the one with the rock beach you were telling me about?" Kaila asked, leaning back in her chair.

"Well, that's what the agent said." I shrugged, momentarily wishing I'd made some toast. That would have gone well with this breakfast.

"Did you bring swimsuits up here?" Kaila asked the other two women, who responded with nods.

"We thought we'd go an hit tha beach if we had tha tahm." Charlotte grinned, clearing her plate.

"It'll be nice to get out." Helen concurred, assisting Charlotte with the dishes.

Rock Beach? Or something else
