A prank from my sister

I was still asleep and my sister who worked from home decided to have a little bit of fun. As I laid asleep she approached with a bowl of warm water. She rested my fingertips in the bowl. Of course, I wet the bed. She erased all the evidence and even took a picture of me lying in my soaked sheets.

Apparently she texted the photo to our mom because the next thing I knew the door slammed wide open. I jolted awake at the noise. I couldn’t even fully open my eyes when the covers were thrown off my body.

“HAILEY TRAYNOR!” My mom yelled.

It was that familiar yell that put me into full alert mode. I looked down to see the sheets soaked. I gasped in horror. I didn’t know it was because of my sister’s juvenile prank. Both my mom and myself were in full belief that I had just wet the bed despite being a full grown adult out of college.

“M-mom….” I whimpered wondering in my head how this could have happened.

“Get out of bed, young lady! I have to clean this up. I can’t believe you’re still doing this! You’re 24 for God’s sake!” My mom yelled.

It was my sister’s turn to act surprised. My own eyes widened as I realized this was the first time my sister was discovering my bedwetting habits because she had been in college during the time it was still occurring.

My face burned bright red. “I… I didn’t mean to… I’m sorry,” I said desperately trying to cover my wet pajamas pants.

“This was maybe excusable when you were still in your teens. I mean I know you wet yourself during the sleepover too. But I really thought you were done with this,” my mom said. “I’m not sure what to do with you now.”
