A little lower

*Flash Back Cont.*

You move the end of the stethoscope down a bit lower to just above her pelvic bone...there you heard her heart beat again. You tell Lucy this and she was surprised; until you let her hear it.

Once done, you put the stethoscope back in the attic...but in a secret hiding place. You never knew when you would need to take it out again.

Which was a few years later, when you were 15.

You and Lucy were looking around the attic when you found the stethoscope again. Being interested in Medicine, you had taken some online classes (having a rich family has it's benefits) and were getting good grades. You even had a room set up to practice with an exam table, changing screen, sink, and all the tools you needed.

The memory you had still lingered; making you want to go back in time and do it again.

Lucy came over and hugged you from behind, "What'cha thinking about kiddo?"

"Just when I listened to your heart with this." You replied, while showing her.

She laughed. "I remember that."

"Seems like yesterday."

"Yeah." She paused. "You know...I could-you know- help you practice some times. Giving Hybrids check-ups I mean."

"Really?"

"Of course."

After you graduated Medical School, you started working at the clinic...but you still lived at home. In fact, some of the patients could only come to your home if they lived close by or an emergency.

You and Lucy chat a few more minutes, then go back to work...
