A letter.

Upon reaching your modest home, you find a sealed letter that has been slid beneath your door.

You recognize the seal, it bears the raven crest of house Draigo. It is from Kyra.

You swiftly break the wax and open the letter, it reads:

They accepted my story without much questioning. according to them, I have no reason to lie.

The queen has allowed me to return to patrolling your area, and I will be setting out in three days by the time this letter reaches you.

The queen seems to be fearful of both sedition and outright rebellion. She has expressed to me that she believes there is a traitor in the capital. Her willingness to tell me this implies that she thinks she can trust me, so we should be safe, but I would still advise caution.

There is a man here, Marcus Lenkovar, son of the famous Eleana Lenkovar. He has been the talk of the palace, as apparently he tried to inherit his mother's titles just before I arrived. Needless to say, the queen denied him, but it caused quite the stir nonetheless. I have not had a chance to meet the man, but I have glimpsed him in passing. He is different than the others. when I saw him, his eyes had the same look as yours did when you had me by the throat. I cannot be sure if he is accepting of our ideals, but he is certainly worthy of note.

P.S. Don't fret over the messenger, she thinks this is a letter of thanks to the old woman who tended to me. Said old woman also just so happens to live in your home.

You tear the letter into pieces, placing them in the hearth, to be used as kindling later, and begin plotting your next move.
