A fire spell

Remembering my studies of magic, I intone the words and make the gestures for the fire bolt spell I have learned. A beam of flame erupts from the tip of my staff and strikes the slime. It immediately explodes, splattering the fluids everywhere, and I am pelted with its remains. That was not a good idea. The slime's remains are icky and disgusting, and evidently I have gotten some of the aphrodisiac fluid on me. This is not good, as I am already beginning to feel aroused.

I feel a little drained from the expenditure of mana the fire spell had cost me, but I don't mind it too much as my mana will restore with time if I rest. Still, I need to be mindful of my limitations and regulate my mana consumption accordingly.

Since the night is still young, and I feel I still have plenty of mana to use, I keep hunting. I still don't want to be caught outside at dawn, as though it will not make me dissolve into dust the way a vampire would, it will still weaken me substantially, and if I run into enemies I will be in serious trouble, so I need to take care.

I hear the sound of flowing water and come out into a clearing where there is a small pond being fed by a little stream. In it, I see a slender female figure, completely naked, but slightly transparent in the pale moonlight. It seems to be some sort of slime that has the ability to make itself into a humanoid form. She turns towards me, sensing my presence, and I step out into the clearing to face her. I begin to feel the effects of the aphrodisiac grow stronger as she gets closer. My heart pounds wildly within my chest.
