A few contingency plans

Despite their agreement, Lucy was fairly strict in what she would allow Kevin to change. He could only change his own words, and not enough that it would be instantly recognisable to the people in the room that the record had been altered.

Fortunately, that still left Kevin with a few options. The judge had basically agreed to everything he had proposed, so just adding a few key words here and there could give him even more of an upper hand.

So "Maybe a month?" became "Maybe a month or two?", and "reassess if [The Deviants List is] a necessary action after that." became "reassess what else is a necessary action after that." This gave him the option for maybe more base time, and to possibly extend the sentence once it had run out.

Lucy, not really even seeing the significance of these changes, made them happily, and gave Kevin a kiss before leaving the broom closet. Kevin waited a moment before leaving to stagger their exit. Best not to draw suspicion anyway.

Kevin arrived at Belts & More to find Scarlett and her lawyer impatiently waiting.

"About time," she whined, "I was almost about to put this ridiculous nonsense behind me."

"You're one to lecture about tardiness." he shot back. Scarlett glanced furiously at her lawyer, clearly blaming him for the time-shift. A buxom worker for Belts & More approached cautiously, wearing only nipple pasties and a dangerously short skirt.

"Are you three sure you're in the right place?" she asked, sensing the tension. Kevin handed her a slip of paper with only two items on it: a deluxe chastity belt, followed by a list of features, and a pair of wearable remote vibrators, insertible and external.

The woman looked down the list of required features for the chastity belt. "Vitals interface, remote unlockable, visual monitoring; you certainly are going all out. Who's the lucky lady?"

Kevin nodded to Scarlett, who made a mocking face in return. The employee gave a confused look. "Look, these are serious relationship tools. If you're at all unsure..." she looked again to Scarlett, "maybe you should come back another time."

"Oh, we're sure." Kevin replied, moving next to Scarlett and placing his arm around her. "Isn't that right, sweetie? What other reason could we be here?"

Scarlett had begun pushing his arm off her shoulders, but then stopped upon hearing the second rhetorical question. Perhaps it would be best if she didn't spread word of her punishment. If she risked ending up on the Deviants List, it might change how people see her.

"That's right." she said, practically through gritted teeth. "It's just a little roleplay we do."

"Oh, we get all sorts around here." said the worker. "Just wanted to be sure. Let's get you to your fitting. Will your boyfriend be joining us?"

"Oh, I will." Kevin interrupted, enjoying the look on Scarlett's face. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
