A fast car ride

Nick, getting on his coat, sping his car keys on his finger and looks towards the small girl who is going to be the first and only to step into his car, "ready?"

"Yep!" Katie smiles, skipping over to Nick and getting her white coat on.

They both head out and wall towards the garage, where Nick lifts up the door and reveals a shiny, almost new looking green mustang mach 1.

"Wow, if this doesnt get you the ladies then i dont know what would." Katie laughs walking up to the car and admiring the wax finish.

"Well youre going to be the first girl in it so thats something." Nick says nervously, not really sure about having someone actually sit in it. Although he walks over o the passenger door and opens it for Katie.

"Thanks." She says as she slides into the seat, Nick being carful not to shut the door on her foot. He walks around to the other side and hops in, turning the key in the ignition.

The engine roars to life, as dials and the dash light up, and the headlights reflect off the back of the garage.

Pushing the shifter into reverse, Nick pulls out of the garage and subsequently the driveway. Turning out and shifting into drive, he guns it down the street.

Thank God the road was straight or else he couldnt really show off the power under the hood. He eyeballs the speedometer, seeing it hit 60... 70... 80 miles per hour. He spots Nathan and Jesse walking on the sidewalk and speeds by.

"Holy hell this has some power." Katie says, pressing herself back into the seat, bracing herself. She has a smile on as excitement rushes her mind and body.

After speeding down some roads for a bit, Nick starts to slow down finally, "how about a nice cruise around the lake?"

"Sure." Katie says, looking over at Nick who has one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter.

"So whats your deal?" Nick says looking over at Katie.

"Whats that supposed to mean?" Katie retorts at Nicks oddly worded question.

"Like, your a girl from another town that does voice acting. Thats just really... i dont want ti say weird but moes so odd. Aee you friends with Ethan?" Nick says looking back at the road, keeping a constant 30 MPH as they circle the windy roads around the town lake.

"Well i met Ethan at an acting camp. While i dont do theater i thought it could help me with my voice acting, so i did that over the summer." Katie says, looking out the window at the moons reflection on the lake water.

"Yeah i always forget that Ethan does theater." Nick mutters.

"But yeah, i heard there was a party and Ethan invited me." Katie says still gazing at the calm waters.

"Oh my god, im so sorry if im intruding or anything." Katie panics, not really thinking that she wasnt invited by the host.

"Nah youre fine, i always enjoy meeting new faces." Nick laughs at Katies panicked speech.

"So about your... proffession." Nick starts with a slow tempo.

"What about it?" Katie say, still calming herself after the embarrassing realization.

"Are you actually old enough to be doing all that. Be straight with me about this." Nick asks cautiously. He doesnt really believe she isnt some kid hanging with young adults.

"Yeah im 18." Katie laughs, "everyone asks me that."

"Okay just wondering. Also you got Nathans attention back there. He'd be all over you if he had the chance." Nick laughs, conjuring the time lrior where Nathan was oogling at Katie from the moment he saw her.

"Yeah i can tell." Katie laughs.
