A dragon hoard

Terrence had been walking through this cave for what would be half an hour, having not noticed anything exciting. The cave was just large enough for Terrence to walk standing up, but not by much.

As he kept going, he made his way slowly by reaching out in front of him before taking a step. Soon though, a light far ahead seemed to bring prospect of monsters.

When he finally reached the passage way leading to the light, he shifted his shield out to cover his left arm. Turning the corner, a masterful sight lay in front of him.

A dragon's hoard, small but still wealthy compared to his gold at the moment. The light seemed to have been coming from the pile of gold and jewels itself, reflecting the dying light of the sun through the open top. Blinded for a moment, Terrence did not see the dragon tail as it moved behind a pile.
