A concerned Asian coed.

You turn around from the door leading to the stairs, feeling a hand on your shoulder. For a split second, you hope its Ellen full of regret and rushing back to apologize to you. Instead a slim Asian girl looks at you with deep concern in her deep brown almond shaped eyes. Her long eyelashes flutter as she asks,

“What happened? Are you ok?’

You sniff, and then feel a small trickle of warm liquid trail out of your left nostril. You have a bloody nose. Dabbing your nose on your shirt sleeve, you answer that you're ok, and you just had a disagreement with a friend, and they hit you. You’re very careful not to say that the friend was female, and apparently lives of the same floor as this girl. Taking your hand she leads you down to the opposite end of the hallway, past Ellen’s room, and to the very last door.

“Why don’t you come inside, I’ll clean you up a bit and we’ll see if your nose is really as bad as it looks.

You nod your agreement, and she opens the door to her room, leading you inside. As you walk in you glance at the name tag beside the door, listing two names, Connie Sanders and Kimberly Tanaka. The room is clean, orderly and well lit. It’s laid out just like Ellen’s room is with single beds on each side of the room. A small desk and chair at the head of each, a dresser and closet at the foot.

She pulls out a chair for you to sit on, and as she pulls out a bag of ice from the small fridge, you clear your head a bit and look her over. Her hair is silky black, and long, done up in a single braided pigtail that end at the middle of her back. She’s dressed simply, in a pink t-shirt and faded, well-worn denim cut off shorts. In fact as she bent over you got a brief glimpse of her black panties. Her feet are bare, and the nails manicured and painted a faint pink.

Touching your nose you don’t think it feels quite as bad as it did a few minutes ago, but change your mind when Kimberly sets the washcloth bundled over some ice cubes on your nose. You wince and Kim looks at you with deep concern.

“I can’t really tell if it’s broken, but if you’re having any difficulty breathing it might be. Would you like me to take you to the emergency room?”

You shake your head looking at yours reflection in a mirror on what must be her roommate’s desk. While a bit red, your nose doesn’t look bruised, and you seem to be breathing just fine.

“I’m ok just a bit stunned I guess.” You sniff again, and she hands you a tissue. Wiping your nose gently, it’s clean.

“It’s stopped bleeding.” You smile at her, and she returns the smile, sitting on the bed across from you as you hold the ice on your nose, wanting to stay with her as long as you can. After all you don’t know where you’ll be staying tonight now.

“Your name is Kimberly?” You ask, telling her you read the sticker beside the door as you walked in.

“That’s me. But all my freinds call me Kimmy” She flashes a set of perfect white teeth at you, and reaching behind her begins to unbraid her hair.

“Why don’t you stay here while I unbraid my hair and brush it out, just to make sure you’re ok?’

“Alright, why don’t you tell me about yourself.”

“Ok, what do you want to know?” She answers untwisting the strands of raven colored hair.
