A change of surroundings.

Serris didn't wake up in her pod, or even her spartan bunk. She was in a regular bed, and a comfortable one at that. Dim light seeped in through curtains that surrounded her. She was still wearing her casuals, and a bit sheepishly started to pull open the violet curtains to look outside. She saw an unfamiliar bedroom, with one wall seeming to be a mirror at first, but she noticed the reflection was distorted where shadows fell over it. She covered her face as she leaned against the wall. Outside she saw what looked like lit boxes or booths, glowing different colors. It was hard for her to see what was inside from where she stood.

She was in some kind of terrarium that seemed to be modeled like a house inside. A closet jutted out from the wall, and a peek inside showed that her clothes had been taken with her. There was a vanity not far, and it seemed to have some cosmetics like lipstick supplied as well. If not for the transparent wall, she might think she'd been supplied a furnished apartment.

She carefully peeked through the door. It led to a kitchen. Sinks, a refrigerator, an oven and a cupboard lined the wall to her right. A dining table stood in the center of the room, and the window continued on her left. Ther was another door across from her, and she stepped through it. She saw couches and a television, as well as a shelf with assorted books, as well as a chess set and deck of cards. There was a smaller room inside this one, a quick peek showed it to be a bathroom, thankfully without see-through walls to the outside. The house so far was cozy, rather than cramped, though it was still small. She decided to take a quick seat at the kitchen table. Her curiosity towards her immediate surroundings was giving way to wondering about how she had gotten there in the first place.
