Kayo lays on the sand until the man is out of sight, feeling a rush of emotions that make her situation feel completely helpless.

Sitting up, she takes a shuddering breath, No time to feel sorry for myself, there's nothing I can do about it now anyway. She feels sad, thinking of what her father will think of her when he discovers what happened threatens to overwhelm her emotions, she quickly stomps the growing desperation down, I've got to get my act together.

She takes a look around, then starts to consider her options, Trying to hold onto my honor didn't work, I'm shamed, and I dont expect my family, or my father, to ever forgive me for putting myself in this situation.

For a few seconds, she watches the shoreline, But maybe I can salvage something from this situation, I cant undo what has been done, but I might still be able to win the prize money.

A look of grim determination touches her expression as she crawls to her feet again.
