A camera

The pretty blonde girl takes a few steps closer as you retrieve your handheld video camera, turn it on and bring it to eye level.

"See, I got it all on tape," you explain to her as she eyes the camera warily and a little shamefully.

"How I called you a nigger who couldn't be trusted...?" Laurie admits sheepishly.

"And how it's your father who put those thoughts in your head," you finish. "Do alot of people know what a racist he is?" She shakes her head, tears in her eyes as you ponder the future. "Well, the child welfare folks will probably remove you and any brothers and sisters from the house on account of his bad influence..."

"No, please, my family is the most important thing to me!" she pleads.

"Well, it just so happens that I am an expert in helping little white girls put racism behind them, through a process called 'going black'. Are you willing to 'go black', Laurie?"

"Yes sir, I don't want to be a racist any more!" You tell her to get in the car, and she obediently does, and together you drive away, leaving her farm home and no doubt her innocence behind...
