A black ring

A black ring laid on the bench there. Picking it up, Matt felt a static shock come off it as he touched it, but he paid it no heed.
Looking around, he decided to see if the ring would fit. And he slid it onto his right hand ring finger. The metal felt cool on his skin. He then tried to pull it off, and found it to be quite stuck. The metal tightened on his finger, and began to send a vibrating sensation through him.
Suddenly, he was brought out of his reverie but a hand on his shoulder.
