A bet involving a video game.

Jessie sat at the public park, reading a humorous book about birds she had picked up at the library when her phone vibrated. It was a message from Luke, her future roommate.

"Hey, wanna make a bet?" The text read.

Jessie thought back to the last bet she made with him. She had lost that one, which resulted in her walking around the college campus in nothing but a Pikachu onesie. An experience she wasn't keen on going through a second time.

She texted back "What kind of bet?"

About a minute later, another message. "That game you're looking forward to. It comes out next week. If it doesn't a Metacritic score of 85 or higher, you win. If its lower, then I win."

Jessie raised her eyebrows. These conditions were much more attainable than the previous bet (She didn't know how Smash Bros. even worked. How was she supposed to tell?).
