A Whip Monster

A thin black pointed tendril curls around the door curtain.

You see Nuru take a step back and look at you and Abigail with wide nervous eyes. "I've heard of these...they hurt..." She says. Abigail squeezes your hand tighter.

Coming through the door is what would best be described as a shambling inky black stalagmite about four feet tall and one foot wide at it's base, tapering to a point at the top. It had an almost pointed phallic shape to it. Four long thin black whip-like tendrils extend out from the base, waving around the room. A slightly mottled discolored grey patch can be seen midway up its roughly cone shaped body, perhaps it's eye? It really wasn't that big, you feel you could probably send it back out the door with one good kick...if you had that option.

It's zoo pass was worn around it's base, the now familiar purple lighting it up.

You look it over, trying to imagine what such a creature would even want from you.

"What does it want?" You ask.

"I...I don't know. These one's are really rare." Abigail responds. "It must be here because it heard about you. You're a hot ticket right now."

"Yeah." Agrees Nuru. "I've just heard they're not fun."

"Does it...want us to touch it?" You wonder aloud.

Nuru and Abigail look at each other at a loss. "Maybe we rub the top?" Guesses Nuru. You see her take half a step forward and freeze up. "Nope."

You all stand there, wondering what happens next. The creature just sits there looking at you. The crowd beyond the glass began growing once more in anticipation. The minutes wear on in this awkward stillness. Then you feel it. A...tickling or itching sensation at the very corners of your consciousness.

"It's an empath!" Says Abigail. "I think it was attuning to us. It wants to know what we are feeling."

"Now my feelings aren't even my own?" You complain.

She looks at you sympathetically. "I don't think it can do anything, it just wants to tap into our feelings and emotions. If I'm right it's just one way, it can receive and not send. Do you understand? This connection is probably how these creatures...well...get off...you know?"

"Okay, I think I get it." You say. "Still, weird to know it's in there."

"Yeah, I know. You never really get used to some things here." Then she adds. "At least it's not a telepath. Those are...intense."

"Sure, I guess this is better..." You quip sarcastically. Despite your tone you really were relieved it wouldn't be sending any alien thoughts into your mind.

You are all startled when the thing finally reaches forward with its tendrils. First it gets to Nuru, she yelps in pain at the touch. She jumps back toward you. "Ow! They sting!"

You feel it next on your shoulder. Zap! You jump away from it. It was like touching a live wire. "Oooo!" You hear Abigail hoot. The tendrils were encircling the three of you, forcing you all closer and closer together. Soon you are in a tight clump, holding on to each other's warm bodies. It backs away and waits once more.

"It...I think it wants us to...have sex. With each other." You say.

Big grins brighten Abigail's and Nuru's faces. "Oh thank goodness!" Cries Abigail.

"Ohhhhh yeah! This is going to be fun!" Says Nuru.

You are more relieved than you ever have been in your entire life. No need to fight the collar this time!
