A Porno.

Well...it's what you were going to watch anyway, wasn't it? You and Melody have watched quite a few together; nothing sexual, just making fun of the bad acting and horrible plots. It would be gamble, but she might enjoy making fun of one. It'd be something you could do together and the two of you could make a night of it.

You grab one off the shelf and bring it over. Melody gets a little suspicious as you walk by, trying to hide the cover of the DVD. Her eyes narrow at you.

"What movie did you choose, Jack?" She asks.

"You'll see." You reply mysteriously. You pop it in and and let it play. Sitting down next to your friend, you wait for the action. Within seconds, you are greeted by the sight of a naked, musclular football player pounding a busty, screaming blonde cheerleader from behind. The look on Melody's face is absolutly priceless. Whatever she was expecting, this wasn't it. The movie title appears on screen and she turns to you, slightly aggrivated.

"College Coeds 4: Cum Laude?" She asks dryly. "Real classy, Jack. You sure do know how to make a grieving, dumped girl feel special."

"Oh, come on." You say with a laugh. "You enjoy poking fun at these as much as I do. We can share some laughs together. Hell, we can make a game of it and see who can come up with the best lines."

Melody tries her best to stay serious, but a wide grin streaks across her face. "I don't know what's worse; that you're perverted enough to use porn to cheer your best friend up, or that I'm perverted enough to go for it with almost no resistance."

"Welcome to the dark side." You grin back at her. You both giggle uncontrolably, then turn your attention to the TV screen. The first scene, which features the football player and cheerleader, offers plenty of material and you are surprised to see that Melody manages to be just as witty as you. It seems you managed to get her mind off Keith pretty well.

The second scene, which involves a male teacher and two female students features a wide collection of cheesy lines and the two of you find yourself spouting them out randomly throughout the scene. Melody doesn't come up with as many remarks as you do this time, but she's still smiling, so it's all good.

By the time the third sex scene comes on, you begin to think something's amiss. This scene, featuring a redheaded field hockey player and the class nerd fooling around in a locker room shower, had plenty of groan-worthy moments, but Melody doesn't seem to be into it. In fact, she barely manages to say anything and keeps staring at the screen uncomfortably. About halfway through a prolonged cunnilingus scene, complete with over-acted moaning, Melody promptly stands up, her face flushed. She pulls the blanket with her, wrapping it around her like a robe.

"I can't watch this anymore." She states, not looking at you in the face. "I'm sorry, Jack, I just can't." With that, she walks off toward her bed.

"Melody!" You say hurriedly, hitting the stop button on the remote. "What's wrong? Was it something I did?"

"No, Jack." She says, shaking her head. "It's not your fault. Thanks for trying to help cheer me up. I appreciate it, really. But I need some alone time, okay?" She walks to her bed, pulls down the covers, and climbs in, dropping the blanket on the floor. She faces the wall and curls up into a ball.
