Chapter 3 by Johnsmithincog Johnsmithincog

What monstrous beings might a person bind to?

A Biomechanoid Snake Woman?

Hidden deep in Hideki’s labs were the remnants of an old project Hideki had been working on. Experimental gene splicing, stem cell research, and and incubation programs had a variety of appliances, from curing diseases to diversifying the capabilities and general purposes of humans. However, while the project rarely produced long lived subjects, the ones that did develop into fully grown people were helpless to their internal animalistic tendencies. In particular, a beautifully colored woman by the name of Zavi. She seemed perfectly fine for the most part when monitored alone, when left to her own devices. But the instant any human attempted interaction with her, she entered a distressed state, and had even attacked in the past when they wouldn’t leave her be. It was quite unfortunate, as she had admitted in private she felt lonely, but when people came in she was filled with such terror that she couldn’t help but slip into a fight or flight nature, and when people cornered her… She reacted the only way she could, and had even expressed remorse for the attack. Thankfully, an anti-venom for her toxin had already been developed and was able to be administered, but it was close even so. Hideki technicians felt bad for incarcerating her so long, it had been decades since she was “born”. But she couldn’t be released into society either with her animal instincts acting up like that. Everything had been tried, from remote control apparatus, which Zavi had even volunteered for, to more… Invasive measures that Zavi hadn’t much appreciated, but underwent anyway if it had a chance of working. It had ultimately worked, however, it was too expensive and wasteful to do at all times, so Zavi returned to her lonesome life after a time. Until the introduction of the phasebinder, Zavi was among the first subjects thought of, if someone could be a part of her, only active to keep her head on straight when she was in distress, it could be quite useful, and the applications from there only expanded, as they had originally designed Zavi’s cellular structure to be especially tolerant of bonded mechanical structures, from tools to bone reinforcements to weapons, the few times they had inserted cybernetic enhancements in Zavi, her body hadn’t rejected a single one and she acclimated to them quickly. If they could phasebind attachments, not only would Zavi be controllable, she could become unstoppable…

Who is the volunteer?
