Selene and I were walking sided by side on the road back to town, all the while I asked her questions about herself, her history, her people, and anything else I happened to think of. Surprisingly, she was more like me then I would have ever guessed. She could eat, drink, and sleep all for the purpose of keeping up the appearance of being human, but had no need to do so to survive. Truthfully, she confided, the only thing she required to sustain herself was to feed on what she called "human life ****", which was either found most readily in semen, or simply the semen itself. The distinction, if any, was unclear; and she had no ability or desire to find it. She was able to change her appearance at will, though only enough to blend in. Meaning that she could retract her horns, tail, and wings but not alter her more 'prodigious' womanly assets. Quite clearly, she was stronger than the normal person by far, and apparently resistant to disease, poison and bodily harm. Though, as far as how she could die or be killed, she remained noticeably vague. One thing that I found relatively interesting was that she could see peoples memories, but only as long as they gave their permission first.

After solely answering my question for a while, she began to ask me her own questions in turn. Such as, why I never tired, why it didn't seem like I couldn't feel pain, and why did my personality change so drastically halfway through our 'fuck session'? I only shrugged at her questions, which very clearly upset her; but when she tried to demand an answer I replied, "I'll answer all of your questions when you tell me what your real name is." She stopped asking questions entirely after that.

After we had been walking for a few hours, a common scene appeared before us in the road ahead; a carriage being held up by bandits. Three guardsmen appeared to be defending the carriage, but there were at least 15 bandits harrying them endlessly and they were fighting a futile battle. I looked to Selene, who was watching the scene with an amused look on her face, and said, "You wanted excitement, so I'll let you pick what we do here." With a smile, she took hold of my arm, pressed her side into mine, and gently rested her head on my shoulder to watch the scene unfold in front of us like others might watch the sunset. Either by their own bodies failing them or the bandits tiring of playing with their targets, the remaining soldiers were cut down, and one of the bandits leapt inside the carriage followed almost instantly by a small girl being thrown out to land face first in the dirt. My body instantly stiffened at the scene and Selene stepped away from me reflexively. Without looking at her I told Selene, "Take to the sky. Kill anyone who runs. Do not to let the kid see you." With that, I began to stomp my way towards the group of bandits.

I approached the 15 with hate in my eyes and got faster with every step. I hadn't cared who they were before, but now they had become mere targets instead of men; and reality in which I would let anything happen to that little girl. The first bandit noticed the two of us, and, with a smirk, sent an arrow whistling at me which lodged itself in my shoulder but succeeded only in momentarily breaking my stride. Finally sensing danger, he quickly yelled to his compatriots and they all shifted to face me. Multiple volleys of arrows flew in my direction; all of which embedded themselves somewhere in my chest. In response I began sprinting at the soon-to-be dead men, some of whom had the presence of mind to keep shooting; and, behind me, I heard Selene launch herself into the sky with a flourish. By now, the bandits were in a total panic. Between seeing me running at them with about 20 arrows sticking out of me and Selene in the air above them, no one had any idea of what what to do.

I couldn't help but smile as I plowed into the first bandit, a few of the fletched ends of the arrows in my chest pierced his clothes as I knocked him off of his feet with a swing of my right fist and stole the dagger from his belt with my left. Before he could even react to hitting the ground I drove the dagger into his leg, deliberately avoiding anything important to keep him alive but ensuring he was out of the fight.

I was nearly a blur as I moved between the rest of them. All too soon for my tastes, ten were of them were on the ground holding debilitating leg wounds and screaming in pain. The remaining five turned to run for the tree line, but pure terror fell upon them from the sky and gleefully ended them. My retribution now taken, I found my way to the child and scooped her up off the ground with all the care within me. Physically, she seemed fine; but she seemed to have been knocked out when she was thrown from the cart. It was probably for the best, given those things that had followed afterward.

I turned to look at Selene as she exited the forest, crossing the tree line she had so recently guarded, with blood dripping from her hands and immediately showed her confusion when she saw I hadn't killed anyone. With the child still in my arms I told her, "I'm going to continue towards the capital to drop her off there, somewhere." I then motioned to all the bandits around me, still writhing in pain, and said with half-**** smile, "Enjoy your feast, you've earned it. Just be sure to catch up when you're done..."

Her hands were so soaked in blood and viscera that they made more of a 'squishing' sound when she clapped her hands together like a giddy young girl and said "This is the greatest present I have ever received! Thank you, Master!" The innocence in her eyes turned to hellfire as, with a sinister smile, she turned her attention to the terrified bandits spread out before her on the ground like a buffet.

I turned my back to her, and to the **** pleas of my gifts to Selene and slowly resumed my walk back to the capital.
