Your attempt to use the elf’s positive predisposition towards your kind to favour you is transparent. He is visibly hurt when he realizes that you tried to play him, but does not openly show it. Instead he tells you Grymtoad occasionally visits H’Rull’s but that you’d have better luck seeking him out at the Brown Direwolf. He does not wait to hear whether you want anything else of him, merely bids you good luck and gets on to serving and surveying his other guests.
