Chapter 3 by AwfulMonk AwfulMonk

How long does she sleep off that hangover?

…6 hours later.

Kelly Thompson didn’t move for nearly 6 hours. When she woke up she found her mouth felt like Cotten and her hair had dried to her skin. She stretched her arms and wiped the dust from her eyes when she saw the time. Her clock read 5:38pm. She reluctantly left the now warm and comfortable bed and stretched again. As she did she could feel the effects of her hungover still clung to her like a bad cold. But she felt immensely better.

She hadn’t taken the time to put clothes on before she had passed out in her bed. And while she lived alone, she had never been comfortable walking around naked. She never knew when she might get a FaceTime call or someone popping by. So she went to her dresser and grabbed a pair of sky blue panties that she felt comfortable in. Not caring to match as she had no plans to go anywhere she decided she would forgo a bra and put on an old shirt she had from college. She quickly pulled it over her head, hiding her nudity from prying eyes.

Kelly exited her bedroom and went to the kitchen, pouring a glass of water for her cottonmouth she quickly finished the glass then poured another. Finally she looked around. Her home hadn’t been touched since she left for Vegas. She hadn’t cleaned before she had left, and now she had 5 days of laundry. Since she had slept so long, Kelly decided that she would clean up, she was running out of outfits for events and work meetings anyways. So the first thing she needed to do was laundry.

She set herself to work. Pulling up some ambient coffee house jazz as background music she put her largest suitcase in her living area, opened it and putting away her supplies. All of her makeup, her toiletries, all of the things that weren’t clothes. Task successful she brought her three suitcases over to her laundry room and began organizing.

Her largest, forest green suitcase held her essentials. Short, shirts, her three bikinis she had brought, her two cocktail dresses and her shoes. Her second suitcase was a dark onyx bag that she had used to store her evening dresses. She brought a few just in case. The dresses, all of them weren’t going in the laundry, those needed to get dry cleaned. Finally her smallest bag, those held her accessories. She didn’t think that she had any clothes but still she opened it in the laundry room and…

“Fuck!!” Kelly said as she opened the bag and found it wasn’t hers. She opened it wider and instead of seeing her travel container for her earrings and necklaces and rings, instead was a black box with a simple latch, she must have taken the wrong bag at the airport.

Internally Kelly was furious, some of those pieces cost her a lot of money. Well maybe not a lot of money in the traditional sense but it was expensive for her. That’s when she opened the box, she was curious. If the owner of this bag got her things, what did she get of his. When she opened it she gasped. Of the two owners, she had clearly gotten better end of the deal.

Inside the simple black leather box was a piece of jewelry that Kelly really only ever saw in galleries. She hadn’t been to many but she had seen a few. The box contained a gold and silver armband that had three gems engrained in its metal. It was gorgeous, and Kelly, standing in her Grand Canyon 2017 shirt and blue panties stood there, she couldn’t help but want to put it on.

Does she put it on?
