“Why do you ask?”

Anna blushes, not making eye contact.

“W-well sir, you barely leave the house any more. You handle business at your computer and you work out at a home gym...you haven’t gone on a date in over two years, sir! I don’t want to be too forward, but you’re a h-handsome man, sir, don’t you want companionship?”

You sigh, unsure why she is worrying about this.

“I guess I never got very good at meeting people after...the accident. Outside of people I pay to put up with me.” You smile at Anna.

“Oh, sir, you’re not the monster you think you are! But, if it’s not too much, would you mind if I offered a suggestion?”

“Of course, Anna! You know I trust your opinion on pretty much everything.”

She hands you a flyer advertising the AWIO. You look at Anna and raise an eyebrow questioningly.

“I noticed your interest in ‘monster girls’ sir. A-also, you should close your door when you’re...taking that kind of time for yourself.”

Now it’s your turn to blush. “Sorry, Anna...”

“Oh no sir, I shouldn’t...I didn’t mean to peek. Even though y-you are a very handsome man.”

You both laugh, equally embarrassed. You look again at the flyer, nodding.

“You know what, Anna? Thank you. This is a good idea. Of nothing else, someone else around the house will make it more cheerful here.”

Anna beams at your smile, suddenly leaning in and kissing your cheek, surprising you. She quickly steps back, seemingly as surprised as you are. She blushes bright red and stares at you with huge green eyes.

“Oh my god, I’m sorry sir!”, she exclaims before ducking out of the room.

You watch her go, confused, touching your cheek where she kissed. Something to think about, to be sure. Regardless, you turn to the computer and start your application as a sponsor.

Very quickly you receive a reply, giving you an appointment for an interview at the Arrival Center.
