I nodded after a moment of pouring, he poured a little more before stopping. “Tell you what.” I said, “The season is about to start, let’s make a wager out of it.”

He put the bottle down and raised an eyebrow at me, “What kind of wager?” He asked.

How about we do it by steps. Game by game, each week we can watch a game that has at least one of our teams, so we need to have smaller bets which lead up to something.”
