Chapter 3
by bobbobbobthethir
How do you respond?
“She’s my sister…”
You watch her swaying ass head down the corridor, and respond when she might still be in earshot range.
“She’s my sister…” you say, unsure of what Tatiana’s trying to play at.
“Yeah, and I wish she were everyone else’s, too. The guys just can’t shut up about her,” Tatiana says. “You should have heard some of the pick-up lines they tried… pathetic. At least she didn’t end up sleeping with any of them.”
“Hey, it wasn’t as cringe-worthy as the stuff they were saying to Charmaine,” a feminine voice says. The athletic brunette comes out of stairwell and extends a hand to you. “Hey, you must be Alex. My name’s Marissa, but my friends call me Mars.”
Mars
“Hey Mars,” you say, flashing her a smile, and she shakes her head, returning your smile.
“They were just racist towards Charmaine,” Tatiana says. “That’s a different thing.”
“Charmaine’s black,” Mars chimes in. “Doesn’t make her any less gorgeous, mind you - she even makes me jealous sometimes. It’s crazy that she won’t even give most guys a second of her time!”
Dang, she makes Marissa jealous? What does Charmaine look like, and how does she beat out that toned ass and beautiful C-cup breasts you see before you? You’ve just got back on campus, and there’s already the prospect of so many girls…
“… so I’m not going to take you to the laundry room. Sound good, Alex?” Tatiana says.
“Oh yeah, sure,” you say, hoping that the non-committal response is appropriate.
“We could check out the study rooms and music practice rooms,” Mars offers.
“Oh yeah, it’s a little tricky to work the lock sometimes,” Tatiana says, heading deeper into the building. “By the by, what are you planning on majoring in?”
“Chemistry, probably,” you say. “But really, it could be anything. I’m just most interested in Chem right now.”
“Sure, just wait until you get to orgo,” Tatiana says. “But really, there’s a weed out class in every major. It’s a miracle that anyone graduates around here.”
“Or you could do Comparative Literature like me, and never have to do a single weed out class,” Mars says. Her smile is infectious, and you find yourself smiling back.
“Yeah, but then you can’t find a job after college, so it kinda balances itself out,” Tatiana says. “Anyways, here’s the lock for the study room. You just have to swipe with your student ID and then put in the code, and then turn the handle like so…”
She demonstrates the weird twisting motion here, before pausing and frowning: “Yeah, those are moans that I hear. Not interested in busting them today.”
“Really? You mean I shouldn’t go in to meet them personally?” you ask, only half-sarcastically.
“It sounds like Griffin and Rachel. You’ll get to know them at some point, at a better time than this,” Mars says.
“I wouldn’t bother,” Tatiana says, shrugging. “I was planning on going to the dining hall here. You might want to come along and meet the rest of your hall mates, Alex.”
“Oh, well, I was about to get dinner with some friends on the other side of campus, and figured you might appreciate an invitation, Alex. What do you think?” Mars says.
With that, they both look at you expectantly. Who will you get dinner with?
