“Code red!”

Tom looks oblivious to the fact that he is in the line of fire and I get a bad feeling about it.

"Code red!" I bark in Tom’s direction. It’s the only thing I can think of in the moment. I didn’t expect to need it so soon.

Tom turns his head in my direction, smile shrinking as he focuses on the approaching threat. He tries to change his direction, but twists clumsily and trips himself, knocking files off of a desk and onto the floor between them. He lands on his knees, partially in Victoria's way. He scrambles backward as she passes. She steps on the scattered files as if they weren't even there. Victoria rounds another corner, taking a second to give a chilling glare back in my direction.

"What did I do?" I ask myself.

A while later I confirm with Rachel that Sydnee was indeed fired, for what we have no clue.
