Now what?

[explanation of current variables]

When used in game-mode, this story uses a number of variables to track player accomplishments and to reward those accomplishments later on by opening and closing options and changing some of the text. Of course, not all choices presented to the reader will necessarily be good ones, so some variables may have drawbacks.

Worry: a measure of how concerned, alert, and afraid your character is. At low levels, this may cause overconfidence. At high levels, paranoia.

Horny: exactly what it says on the tin. A measure of how kinky your character is feeling. High levels increase the likelyhood of sexual activity, which may or may not be advisable.

Food: a measure of how many day's worth of food and other supplies your character has. Important with the passage of time, later in the story.

Day: a measure of the passage of time

Ammo: the number of bullets you have for your weapon, if any

Carl's Clothes: you found something to wear that used to fit great but doesn't anymore

Current Events: you've listened to the news and have an idea of what's going on in the world

Smart TV: you are the proud owner of a smart TV

Gun Porn: people can argue about whether or not it's practical, but you don't care. You have a really cool gun.

Backpacked: you have prepared yourself for a multi-day excursion

Backpackin': you have a concealed weapon on your person

Lockout: you lost access to an important area

Shocking Discovery: you've made an electrifying and uncomfortable discovery...but you were warned!

Gatecrasher: you found a way to **** a open a gate that was in your way

Power Breaker: you overcame an obstacle by destroying its source of power

Codebreaker: your persistence and patience allowed you to discover a lost code
