[Lucy] Lucy slips away to her room

“I’m going to bed,” Lucy said suddenly, disappearing into the dark corners of the cabin. She struggled to find the room she had been assigned that afternoon. When she was able to put it together she ducked inside. Her body temperature had skyrocketed in about a minute flat. Actually, she thought to herself, that wasn’t right, it had been climbing ever since Sarah had whispered in her ear: “I’ve always wanted someone to watch me get fucked.”

Lucy pressed her back against the wall beside the door. Her tank top was sweat through. What exactly it was she was feeling, she didn’t know, but she knew she absolutely had to be out of that room. When she shut her eyes, she could see Sarah’s nearly-naked silhouette burned on the inside of her eyelids. Was it just envy? Sarah had a great body, definitely, but Lucy had never been ashamed of hers. She was curvier, and tanner too, and wasn’t that what most guys liked? It didn’t matter. She had known the game would get out of hand, warned them all, and yet they hadn’t listened. Throwing herself down on the bed, Lucy tried to will herself to sleep.

Her eyes snapped open. The other person assigned to this room was Sarah, she remembered. A thousand versions of what might happen when her bunkmate entered the room ran through her head. There was only one bed in each room. That was no problem, she had shared beds with girls before, but usually they were… clothed. Would Sarah put her dress back on before she came in, or would she crawl into bed just like that? There was also the possibility that she would end up sharing Ben’s bed for the night. Lucy had seen the way he looked at her.

“That would be better,” she said in a dull voice.

But her thoughts kept coming back to Sarah slipping through the door, and then into the bed, in nothing but her underwear. Wouldn’t that be awful.
