[BEGIN]

A sudden explosion rocks the walls of the rebel hideout and sends Skye tumbling back, landing on the steel floor with a thud.

"Subrina! Subrina, are you okay!?" shouts a distorted voice from far away.

Skye runs her fingers through her short, bright blue hair and looks up to see her childhood friend Kara Krimson extending an open hand to hoist her up.

"What's going on out there, another one of the Empress' leather parades?" She jokes as she gets up, patting the dirt out of the bottom of her jumpsuit.

"Skye, this is serious! The Empress found us! Her Legionnaires will be here any minute!"

Subrina raises her fists and throws out a couple playful punches. "Let 'em come then, I've been dyning to kick some Latex-covered ass!"

"If they catch you, they will come... on both of our faces..."

She puts a tender hand on Kara's shoulder. "Hey... I won't let that happen to you. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise."

Kara gulps, then smiles as she takes hold of Skye's hands and feels the soft skin against hers. "Thank you, Subrina. I won't let anything happen to you, either."

The walls shake and dust falls from the low cieling as another explosion can be heard, this tine much closer.

Skye squeezes Kara's hand. "Sounds like they've breached the inner sanctum. We gotta move."

Skye leads her down the dirty corridor by the hand until they reach the briefing room. She flattens herself against the wall and peeks around the corner to ser her former comrades completely encased in latex with the Empress' Legionaries standing over them, cackling.

The sight makes her face turn pinkish as she scrunched her nose in frustration. Seeing her friends wiggling helplessly as they laugh about it is almost too much for her to handle.

Skye clenches her fist. "We have to do something."

"We can't, there's too many of them!"

"I only count five," she says with a smirk.
