(Scoring) *Read This First*

Be sure to click Start Game. (Under the tab that says score). This story is written to be read through as a game.

You can read through the story without variables, but as it progresses you'll run into problems with conditional chapters and a lot of things won't make sense. Characters you've yet to meet will suddenly appear and many other things won't mesh. Do as you will, but it's intended, and therefore should be more enjoyable, in the game mode.

The main stats are for: Morals, Arousal, and Depravity.

Morals and Depravity percentages don't necessarily match up. It's possible to have 90% under Morals and still have higher/lower than 10% in Depravity. The higher your Morals, the less a depraved act will alter your Depravity percentage. Having low morals will cause your Depravity score to rise much faster.

The higher your Depravity percentage, the more likely it will be to lead to depraved choices.

The higher your arousal, the more likely it is to lead to sexual choices though not all sex choices will be depraved. Get aroused to the point of 100% and Emma is going to be a useless horn dog until she gets some form of relief.

Normal or otherwise wholesome activities can raise your Morals and lower your Depravity. Spend enough time "behaving" and it's possible to undo a few bad choices.

Hidden Variables: Several actions will trigger variables that the reader can't see. They are intended for me to use when linking events. So if you didn't sleep with person X on day one, they shouldn't sneak in to your room looking for another go on night two. The variables are hidden simply to keep the score tab from being cluttered. If you are having trouble getting to a chapter it's because you didn't meet the requirements, or I didn't link something correctly. If you think you found an error then please let me know by message or comment. I try to be vigilant, but one look at the story map will show you what a hot mess I have going on.

**This story will deal with different fetishes, and even romance, but has a heavy **** theme.

I originally started this under the title The Darkness on another site, using Twine. That site wasn't very welcoming to adult content, so the story was not reaching it's intended audience. I have switched back to the original title, though much of the story has changed, because at it's core there are underlying parts of a horror story. It was inspired by a scene and other parts of Arthur Saxon's story, Sophie's Choices. Reader's familiar with that story will see the similarities at the start, but it should end there. And nothing in this story will be as graphic/**** as Saxon's writings.

Several paths will skip any horror story plot, minus some vague foreshadowing. Some paths will even change the story completely. The horror elements will take a background role to the sex/relationships, but I feel the need to mention them before anyone stumbles upon them.

Though most of the story is already outlined and mapped out, I still welcome comments, and ideas, concerning the characters. I won't guarantee any changes in the direction you want, but I'll at least consider them.****
