"Where are you really from?"
Jess's accent slips from time to time. Her and Erin don't sound like they're from the same part of the country... Also, Jess is way too intelligent and collected to really be fresh out of high school.
Erin said not to ask but you do anyway.
"Fairmont Hills," Jess says, referring to the suburbs outside of Erin's home city. "And I think that's enough questions for now. Miss Erin won't like that you've been snooping so much."
