"Poems and Prose"

You always saw yourself more as an intellectual, so you obviously skip the dumb fashion magazines and go for something that promises to spark you intellect. As you file through the pages, you quickly realize that most of the texts are too long to finish them in the roughly 30 minutes which are left before landing. Maybe you can take the magazine and read it in the evening?

Then a page with a poem catches your attention. The design looks totally out of place, compared to the rest of the magazine. It's a very funny mixture of pink circles and twisted lines, draped around a few lines:

If you're dumb as fuck
you've got all the luck
because dumb and pretty
fucks better than witty.

You frown. That sounds... completely out of place. Is this supposed to be some kind of modern art? Provokative short fiction? Satire? You're not sure you approve. Not if it's meant literally, anyway. But that can't be, can it? You read the poem a second time and a third time, to find hidden clues or message as to how interpret this, but in the end, you give up.

Geez, it felt as if you lost some of your brain cells just reading this stupid stuff!
