Chapter 2

What does the envelope contain?
"I Can't Smell Anything!"
Brian unfolded the letter within. It was some laser jet-printed form letter which read roughly as follows:
"Congratulations! You have been selected to appear on the hit game show, 'I Can't Smell Anything!' You and your loved ones will be flown to sunny Orlando Bloom, Florida! All you need do is respond to this letter by July 5th, 2021 using the enclosed envelope."
Brian checked. There was indeed a pre-addressed envelope contained within the larger envelope.
"If you have any comments or inquiries, don't hesitate to dial the phone number listed below. Good luck!
Sincerely, Guinan Fleepwrythe, President of Broadcasting Services Service."
Brian furrowed his brow. He wasn't entirely familiar with this game show, but he was certain he'd overheard coworkers mentioning it in conversation at some point or another. He didn't have a clue what the rules could be.
How should Brian respond to the letter?

The Adventures of Brian, the Confused Mail Clerk
17 Years Later
The Adventures of Brian was an interactive story in the earlier days of the Internet where readers entered their own chapters and branching choices. Brian was a mail clerk prone to confusion due in majority to the unpredictable events and characterization that would transpire from writer to writer. That was as far back as 2004, thanks to Mark Bridgeman, Valerie Mates, and Michael Gow, and countless collaborative authors. Now it's 17 years later, but for Brian, it feels like it's been longer. Aged by his older travails, now he runs the risk of history repeating itself, at least in a metaphorical sense. How will our puzzled postal professional deal with new trials and tribulations in the world in its current state?
